Video clip of the UAV in flight, and a chopper shooting it down. The UAV looks like it was quickly thrown in the patch. It circles on a flat plane, i.e. it doesn't bank during its turn. Plus there is no propeller, apparantly it is driven on the anotomical energry of EA's bank.

It's just views of it in flight, nevertheless...quick find by NavalLord.
This will be used by Commanders when their view of the map is offline or at all times? DICE seems to be moving as fast as independant modders do for additions to grab our attention. |

This is a visible representation of the UAV. Whenever a commander places a UAV the people on the ground will be ablee to see this, and shoot it down. So if you see one of these above you and your commander hasn't placed a UAV in your area then shoot it down.

Ok..to review...
Those trailers at each home base for Commanders to use..what are they called? They are vital ground uplink trailer to Commander with spaceview to rain in artillary strikes and advise team. Now how do flying UAV's fit into the picture with relation to the above? I have a feeling it won't matter. Not when you can't get idiots to get in a jeep...lol...just kidding. DickJustice...heh...resize/resample next time? You made everyone use slide bar. |

Next patch it fire missles.
Rambo...it's a gadget that probably won't affect gameplay that much. Not untill the super Taser gun. Everyone within 10 feet craps their pants and is rendered vulnerable. A patch will correct it after many complaints...to 5 feet. |

Caslon it is not that hard to understand. Have you ever been commander? If so then you would know that a commander can place a UAV, this is basically a little radar that picks up all enemy activity in the area and everyone on your team can see it. Now, what this new addition does is it places the actual UAV itself in the air. Whereas before there was nothing there, just some magical radar. With this visible UAV the enemy team can shoot it dow, and thus prematurly end your radar scan. You will then have to wait until the UAV reloads to send it out again. Now, my slow little friend, you mentioned the UAV trailer. This is a trailer located on the ground in or near your main base. This trailer is what links the UAV to the commander. If the enemy destroys it then the commander cannot place a UAV until it is repaired by an engineer or over time it repairs itself. If a UAV is in the air and the trailer is destroyed then the UAV will dissapear and so will its radar scan.
Honestly Caslon, you are perhaps the slowest person I have ever come across. Did you just figure out that EA had released BF2?

Thanks for clearing it up....I had to kill my way there anyways.
I probably am slow at understanding the entire concept and nuts and bolts of Commander and the relevant meanings. But you know what NavalLord? A map win for your team means entering enemy flag area....defending while flag slowly drops, fighting off any there who try to keep that from happening...defending while your flag slowly rises, and achieving a successfull cap, whether it be by yourself alone or with some others. Isn't it all about the above? |
