Brand New Ranked Server

The Napalm Cowboys would like to invite everyone to check out our brand new ranked server. We need to get people into this server and make it popular. This server is located in Chicago and is running the latest patch, version 1.12. We currently have 24 slots. This server is running both standard Battlefield 2 maps and Battlefield 2: Special Forces maps.

No offence, but how popular are 24 slot servers? Not very.

I like them. Half way between boring 16 and action packed 32s.

Still, try paying for a ranked server yourself caslon then you will realise why people often go for 24s.

The idea is to get a server populated 24/7. 25/25+ are the most populated.
Not many are populated 24/7 that are a mere 12 vs.12.
There are probably some. You can get a 12/12 server damn cheap, of course they timeout to reboot every 3 hours and have packet loss up the butt, but they are actually quite affordable. $100 a month. 3 bucks a day.

I wish him luck having ppl populate his server.

so....expensive....one of these days, i am going to buy a fucking server from some company that does not need it anymore, and use it.

This is true, heres the reason...
ppl are looken for big servers with alot of ppl which = no roaming around for 20 minutes looking for ppl to kill= Rank goes up faster = new weapons.

You'd be surprised (its only a 4 person/team difference). Its a lot easier to be a commander and people have been squading up like they should too. I'll usually hop on the server and in <5 minuted, two or three other pubbers join up. Once people see others in the server the server begins to fill up quickly. As Hydro pointed out the server is located in Chicago so you get pretty good pings from just about anywhere in the continental U.S.

Anyway, drop by sometime so we can make you eat your words.

Hell, I was gonna run up a month of 32/32 divo.net BF2 server, complete with BFnation logo. I'd do it to battle with other members here.

Why bother when about 3 from here would show up only occasionaly?
