My first 1.12 patch experience!

Sucks!
Probably a bad install I hope, but my patch experience has been nothing but BAD! It seems that my old ping of 20 is now 60? My spawn selection map is all screwy. Now I have to click 1/4 inch to the left of the actuall spawn point to select it. My commander screen is REALLY FUBAR! All my clicks on the commander map are off by like 2 inches! I ended up dropping ammo on enemies wrather than my guys.

Anyone else having problems?

Actually, I have had all of these problems since the v1.03 patch (or whatever the last one was). By the way, if you zoom in a little on the commander map, your clicks will be on target again.

ROFL I have had that problem off and on for awhile. I happened again last night, I had been drinking so it took me a little while longer to realize that it was a combination of the game and my lack of total focus.

Even funnier, I was commander, and I my team mutiny against me because I was telling squads to attack ponds and trees. Too funny!

To add to the list of problems, my game now crashes to desktop. That's the first time this has happened since I bought the game. Oh woh is me! What crap

I don't have the new patch, let alone with BF2, but what Trigger says sounds true.

For the first time in the BF series I was kicked for TKing... I thought they would of fixed the bug were your teammates show up as the enemy.

I still get that here and there. But one good thing came in this patch! Now your prefix shows up in the box where it can be changed back to nothing.

So it does screw up your ping?
I thought it was my internet

my ping jump up too around 200-400 randomly for a minute or two. Then it work smoothly for 30 seconds and then i jumps back up again

I hate this patch

I'm playing BF42 for now

Ever since the release of the patch and SF, my usual pings to familiar servers has risen, probably not related.

A lot of regular servers seem to have pulled their BF2 servers in favor of SF servers.

Are there a lot of them out there? (SF owners).

I haven't been able to play since the patch because my ping has skyrocketed. It lags like crazy on every server.

Most of my favorate servers are now SF. Still not interested in buying though. But the higher ping is bugging me. There has to be a reason for it. My guess is the patch just sucks. Remember the patch that came with the memory leak? It's like deja vu!

I don't know why but I luckily have never really had any problems with BF2 besides the red tag bug and the connection to server is lost thing. I have been having a fairly good time with the 1.12. I like the unlocks when i steal them

Yea I have noticed alot of SF servers. I enjoy the expansion have had no problems with the patch.

i'm downloading the patch now but i was just on special forces and couldnt find any servers
