AT Mines: The perfect AP mines?

Okay, I dont know if this is true but I believe that AT Mines DO explode when grenaded. Thus, it may be possible to leave AT mines everywhere, lay in hiding and toss a nade amongst them to kill enemy troops. I think this because I was laying at the Mosque in Mashtuur and there were many AT mines around me. When a guy chucked a nade near me I hide behind a pillar but there was an ENORMOUS explosion and it said someone killed me with AT mines.

Thoughts?

its true. i do it, no infantry acpects anything wen they see an AT mine.

so u lie in wait and then toss a grenade. BOOM! dead ppl.

Yes it came with the patch also when you are in a tank you can shoot the mines to clear the path.

I knew you could blow them with nades, but I never figured that! Thanks for the tip

I have tried shooting them with a tank and they hadnt blown up. It could have just been the wonderful regestration on that server though. Ill have to check it again on a better server.

Why not just give the engy a feather duster and bow tie?

I tried the drenade launcher on some today, and it didn't do nothing.

I play mainly engineer and now the only way i can get mine kills is the old skool bf1942 way. Jumping infront (or to the side) throw down a mine and run. Which, actually is more effective and less tk-worthy than making a solid line of mines.

i have realized that spec ops is less affective against tanks than engy, but i'd rather have the spec ops gun otherwise. its faster to plop a mine in front and behind the tank, preferably where they won't see you throwing, and run then to try to throw 2 or 3 packs of c4, run, take out detonator without double clutching with excitement and clicking to victory. I hate the detonator

yeah, they need it to be just right click and boom, not right click, pray you actually dont lag and then click and boom.
