Only played it for about 30 mins last night and yes I agree airpower is dominant.
I was in the J-10 for most of the round and didnt get shot down once.

Well, they should do something about the time it takes to get from the US air base to the island...if u go by boat it takes a day to get to the other side of the island. That huge time gap gives the chinese plenty of time to destroy all your boats with jets and attack choppers, tanks, and even 50 cal mounted guns attop jeeps from the edge of the beach. black hawks are slow moving and easily targeted also. Besides that I think its fine. I managed to get in a tank and remain in the tank for about 15-20 minutes. I went from 15 score to 70 score by shooting at a chinese base from a distance repeatedly. It took them a while to to blow me up with c4 i believe. It all about knowing how to use a tank. the only tip i'll give is that the further away you can keep your tank from the enemy the better and longer you'll stay in it and rack up kills.

20 secs is good in a tank
Its the bloody helos and planes that get my tank, I even try to hide it behind buildings Getting annoyed with the suicide C4 bombers now as well :/ They run over and blow you and themselves to pieces |

best place to go with a tank on wake island is away from the big open areas. get in those narrow areas where all the palm trees are along the sides. It makes it really hard to get choppers in there without hitting there tail and blowing up and its harder for jets to accuratly bomb. You are also harder to see from the air.

I think i will blame the fact that they don't actually have moveable ships. Such as the destroyer. In 1942 the planes would just fly off and try to destroy those (most of the time) but now all they have to do besides baserape the carrier is attack the ground bases and tanks
And yes they do need more anti-air, or put some linebackers in

With the new better camouflaged uniforms, you can't as easily see the
enemy lying behind small palms and other growth at the flag point nearest the airfield. I got nailed lots of times. I notice DICE left a lot of that type of growth outta BF2, for good reason. |
