Default Howto Driver Special Ability?

How do you actually get Driver Special Ability?
I haven't had that gray message about getting one, yet had severaly from time to time. Only crusing around in a jeep didn't get them.

So, do any of you know how one actually gets these?

Theres sites which have been posted in threads here outlining what is needed for each medal. Theyre here, just keep looking.

Ubar's the biggest, and even that doesn't say how you get driver points.

When ever a crewmember in your heli/tank/jeep heals/repairs/gives ammo you get a point for being the driver driving them around allowing them todo this. Thats my understanding of it anyway.

Its another one of those features that should have been mentioned in the manual but weren't

I don't want to know about medals but a type of score you receive, but thanks for your time anyway coyote. :/

Agreeing with Titan ans KShizzle here though. Hope it work slike hat I'm gonna have to take a look. I still dislike the crap manual that came with the game. Someone should create a BF2 Guide PDF.
Really inteersting to know that everyone does it, but doesn't know how?!

I would agree with Titan and Shizzle as well. I commonly get driver ability assists when I am carting around medics/engies in my apc and they heal the stuff around them. I haven't seen any medals for this one, but you do get 1 teamwork point for your "truly astounding ability to driving."
