I wondered if BF2 designer wanted the commanders to inform the team on enemy positions, by providing a scanner with radar, UAV radar and spotting functions?
If this is not the case, then I can see why certain (noob) cmdrs don't use it to team's advantage. This is called fog of war (FOW) reduction and is part of intelligence and recon. I think the cmdrs are too lazy to do a good job, or too dumb to know how to communicate where the enemy is. (english helps) Follow my lead, command squads to enemy positions and flags, control our forces to not over-extend until reinforcements arrive, and communicate. C3 is the key to winning. That is a cmdr's job. Simple If you can't handle it then don't be commander, and save us a lot of wasted game time. I want to win. Be active commander, don't be afraid to talk to squad leaders and inform the rest of the team. If they tell you to shut-up, then inform those losers about this being a teamplay game. Over

The red dots mean enemy, in case u didn't know.
Not reporting enemy behind us (this means where enemy is at our main base or any other base that is not at the front line). Use UAV if the enemy are many, or spotter if a few. Just show us where the enemy is, noob. This way a squad can prepare for this mission and know where the enemy is. Not report enemy close to us (like at a my back sneaking in on me to stabb me). If u see 1 red spot moving close to our forces, let them know. Not reporting fast moving red dot and later it stops over a undefended base (could it be a helo or jet?). Report to units to remain nearby and help defend (oops bad word in BF2) to help rush and get back the base before it is taken (duh). If you don't like my tone, then play with a blind commander enough and you see what I mean. Over

A good commander is an awesome tool. I hate seeing commanders running around fighting as infantry. Commanding is a full time job. Honestly, if you don't find a good hiding spot and not looking at the command screen the whole match, you're just not being a good enough commander.

I guest one reason for being a blind cmdr is coz they are playing and not commanding. How to do both on a 64 plyr server?
The team is counting on leadership and resources. You can't do that when u are under fire. Do the right thing and let someone else be cmdr, even if to the worst. At least the team knows that someone is looking out for the team's interest. Or is it the you need to get a commander badge? Why make the rest of us suffer for your personal gain or lost? Commanders should not get full points if they lose. (OK with half for poor leadership and commander skills.) Over
