Hacker?

Just a few minutes ago I was playing Mashtuur city. This was the first round of the game and I was in the outskirts of the city, the commander spotted an enemy sniper by my position. I myself am a sniper and I'm using the unlockuable barrette, I sneak up behind him and aim my scope right for his head. Now, you know how when you hit something a small cloud of dust comes out of it? Well this happened with his head, confirming I made the hit. I've never been so sure in all my time playing the game I'd shot someone square in the head. Usually a barrette kills with 1 shot even if you shoot the target in the torso, but this guy, who is a sniper (no armor) and was shot IN THE HEAD survives. Then the hacker, still alive, turns around takes out his PISTOL and fires a SINGLE shot at me in mid air (he hops up first). First off, I remember numerous instances during my time playing battlefield where I've shot someone in the head with a pistol and didn't kill them (and yes, I was sure I shot them in the head) though they may have been armored. The guy's name was MaCs&TeCNiNeS. Is it remotley possible this was some really weird lag bug? Anyway, if you are a server admin or even find yourself playing with this guy, PLEASE keep an eye on him.

EDIT: I'd also like to add later on (in the next round) there was a vote to kick him which I didn't initiate. Maybe someone else also caught onto him.

Its not a hit unless the hit indicator comes up. Might have been lag/packet loss.

Or it could be a hit box issue. I know that I have nailed people in the head with everything from the M95 to a pistol and people have walked away so to speak. Any head shot IMO should be a kill particularly from a rifle and not necessarily just a sniper rifle.

I don't recall ever seeing the hit indicator come up when I'm looking through the scope of my sniper rifle, yet I've killed people.
