Default Positive thoughts on BF2

I know there's been mostly criticism of BF2 going around, so I think we should have a thread devoted to the positive points of the game. For example, I really do like the "kill damage assists". Its still frustrating when someone steals your kill, but it does help a lot and was a great idea.

Clan matches with the squad system and commander.

Possibly the most intense experience in a game ever!!!

The game is great, no doupt about it. Almost everything slots together well. Sure, there were some features I was looking forward to when the game was first annouced (like 100 player maps etc.) but I´m over it.

The only reason why people complain so much is because the game gets us so wrapped up.

And that is a sign for a good game. And thanks to DICE, we have the luxury of complaining about fairly mundane problems compared to other games. Stuff like dodgy colision sytsem and weapon imbalances etc. are perfectly normal for a first releace.

I mean I don´t blame people for complaining about bugs because after all, its easier to point out the flaws than the good things because you take those for granted.

And the most obvious sign that BF 2 is an excellent game (besides getting record ratings in PC Mags) is that its been the top seller in Europe and the US in the past 2 months...

Most matches are too damn small. There is even an 8 on 8 at TWL. Fucking gay. 21 on 21 would be the best.

Another thing, as annoying as it can be when it doesn't track, I really like the stat tracking system. I like lots of insentive when I play (well, I guess you can have too much insentive, like if someone threatens to kill you if you lose). I used to feel like if I wasn't in a clan my accomplishments in a game wouldn't "count".

EDIT: Oh wait, they tracked stats in 1942?

So far its the best squad based online FPS ever made. Personally I think there is no dowt in that.

I do like sniping off cranes and when spotted trying to parachute off without being shoot out the sky.

Great game. Some issues that are expected for a first release, some that should never of got past testers.

Great balance for the most part. Heli is the execption i think.

Kind of sad they left out my battleship, I know they aren't used anymore but a nice Aegis cruiser would of been nice. I miss the sea battles.

I really like the ingame radio system...that is very easy to use. Commander mode is a great idea....granted it takes SP artie out of the mix.

I am glad i bought the game. Even before the first mods come out.

I also really like the stat system and being able to unlock weapons, even if they're hard to get. It really sets you apart if you have a weapon that someone else doesn't have.

I also like all of the things you can do. If I feel like flying a blackhawk and racking up 100+ points per game on Songhua stalemate, I can do that. If I want to lay mines and get the satisfaction of seeing that small white text on the left side of the screen saying "you killed xxxxx>" If I want to just lay down and mow people down with a SAW, I can do that. You can do so many cool things on BF2.

Yes this game rocks! I have been playing online mutliplayer games since the first days of half life ( almost ten years or more now ) I have been lucky enough to be able to have a good interent connection and the ability to buy almost all the FPS's that have come out, and I must say (IMO) this is by far the best one yet. Aside from the initial bugs and imbalances there is still no other game out as of yet that gives you so many options, let alone the mods and maps that are yet to come. I feel that I can look past the minor problems and enjoy it now for what it is. Future patches will only make this better. Thank You EA and Dice for giving us the best game out!
