Yea what is the deal with battle recorder anyway? Does anyone really know? Anyone ever use it? Teamwarfare.net requires their matches to be recorded, so does that mean it actually works? I would like to try using it atleast once. It is supposed to be part of that $50 game I bought
remeber... |

There is a way of using it...but I just dont know how
Its rather complicated I think, from what I read in previews and interviews with the dev's you would just have a hot key to press to start/stop recording then you could view the file within the main menu and even send the files to friends as the file size would be very small. Probably another feature cut though ![]()

It's released and "working".
You need to be on a BC server. I don't know how to start recording. Then you can play the file through and use various cameras and slow mo. There is crucially no rewind so if you miss the thing you want its a long re watch. |

From what I understand, you can't record one yourself. You have to download it from the server that you were playing on that was Battle Recorder enabled, which doesn't make sence.
Good luck on finding a server with the recorded files stored for you to download. I've checked on a few servers that I've played on that was Battle Recorder enabled in my community tab and found some of the servers that I played on. Every time I tried to download the files I get a "cannot find files" warning so I end up deleting the server list. It would seem like you should be able to record one yourself without having to be on a server with the function enabled.

well i was on a server with it. i played 2 maps. then i went and downloaded it. its actually pretty kool. ur in a spectator mode. u cant free move and go all over the map. but u can only review it in BF2. if u want to make videos u need to get a benchmarking program like fraps, (Free to try, 37$ to buy). but, i think u should beable to record on demand.
