Running into corners, Grenades and stupid people.

From my gaming experience a lot of the people will run around a corner while chasing an enemy. And a lot of them will die after they turn the corner.

And they die because the person that's being followed was smart enought to crouch/lie on the floor and get ready to dispense a hail of bullets once the purchaser turns arount the corner.

And more and more I see people using grenades as anti-tank weapons...

Grenades are anti personnel! That means 1 grenade = lots of dead people.

Throw them inside a car or make it bounce on the wall on a corner and people will fly out.

Running around the brick wall after someone is stupid. Throw a grenade there and wait for him to come back, the only way it is effective to chase someone after a corner is when you're out of ammo and there's no-one to help you with that, so you'll probably die and respawn with full tanks.

Most of the walls can be shoot thru and still damage the person, so do it.

Throwing grenades at tanks is almost as effective as throwing a handfull of bullets at someone and expect them to die.

And how many times have people ran into your grenades? The enemy is inside a building with that groovy door and a window, experctly placed. They are pinned, you throw your grenade in thru the window to see if they run out or die in there and what do your teamates do? Run into the glorifying heaven of destruction that has become the interior of that house as the grenade is bouncing on the floor.

And you end up killing 2 enemies, 2 tks and two smartasses punishes on your butt. Two points become -14 because people can't use their equipment to the fullest and think that grenades will kill a tank.

its their bf1942 instinct to throw grenades at tanks, you can't blame them. i still do it sometimes. :P

I have had plenty of teammates running into my grenades after chucking them through a door/window. Does "FRAG OUT!!" not give some indication that a small anti personnel explosive device has just been thrown in the general area???

It's worse when you're chinese or MEC as the 'Frag out' is on the teams language....

well i understand english and chinese but arab.... that's hard. actually, after a month of playing, you actually learn the language. that's what happened to me in bf1942, japanese, german, russian, british accent english and my favorite: (canadian english). that's one of the thing i like about bf. you learn some language.

Set your language settings to always use English.

I do agree that a person taking on a tank by themselves with grenades is suicide. Grenades DO harm tanks - but it takes quite a few. If you have three guys tossing them at a tank in a tight spot, that tank is in trouble.

Also, they make great attention diversions while another person lays mines or sticks C4 to the tank.

Get your engy to lay mines behind the tracks while a flag is being taken by a tank and throw 2/3 nades and he will move and then BOOM!!

well they all speak mandarin (kind of). but none of them speak native mandarin. it's like they picked a bunch of random hicks off the boat and made them read lines.

i speak fluent mandarin and cantonese and i have a hard time figuring out what they're saying sometimes.

then again the real PLA is probably a random assortment of hicks too.

Hahahaha I speak like, noob mandarin (it was my first language then I lost it and am relearning it) So shutup! lol

But the PLA being a bunch of idiots with guns and extremely basic linguistic skills is probably right.

Yay. If you lay a mine and it doesnt kill a enemy within 20 seconds, its likley some of your team find a way to detonate it for maximum team damage.

Like say... a full apc with 5 or 6 guys running around it runs over the mine, then 20 guys lay on the burnt wreckage until it explodes... Yeah.....

I actually coded a throwable Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch for a module of NeverwinterNights.

Only worked on players/monsters that had Och as a part of their names.

I agree that running around corners is pretty dumb. Unforunately i feel there are an equal number of dumber people who dont lay prone and wait for a following enemy. I.e. the 5 guys i followed for about 1/2 click (about 20 corners) on one map and shot in the back once they all lay prone taking on their enemy.

instead of going prone as u rin around a corner just drop a nade and run like hell. when they guy rounds the corner BOOM!
