i remember one of early videos about bf2. the dice team showed gamespot that the cable in kubra dam can be cut by heli's gattling cannon and the falling cargo will be able to destroy enemy units. i don't know if that's still in the game.

I am just saying, there is nothing bad about all the buildings being gone after "three minutes."
I didn't say anything about reality or games or what the fuck ever else you imagined... If all the buildings were to be destroyed all the time, the maps would always play different. or at least the same sniper won't be on the same building for an entire map. ![]()

He'd still find someplace to camp and shoot you dead while you're busting butt to cap a flag, even among ruins.
Some ppl play map after map that way. They sit and wait. Nothing wrong with that. I gotta say tho...in BF2,I get killed looking around trying to see where the hell that guy is lying. Maybe it's my less than stellar sound system, but I'd like future games to let you hear where that guy on roof top is, relative to your position. Right now...you can't. There's just not enough noise coming from his position. I think games in the near future will have better capability in that regard. IT's not all about graphics and music. |
