Default Illusive sweet spot

I was happily driving my tank to the battlefield when I encoutered an enemy tank. No worries my tank had full health so I fired and hit and my oponent fired back and hit me. WTF? In one shot he destroyed my full health tank...... I don't think it was lag, because my connection was pretty decent while playing.

I read somewhere that a hit in the gap between the turret and the tank itself can kill sometimes in one shot. Can anyone confirm this?? Or can anyone tell me where to hit a tank for a one shot kill?

I was told that there were no weak spots on tanks like in 42. (back, under, treds, etc.)

Well from my own experiance you need to aim for in between the turret and main body of the tanks, the tracks at the front of the tank and the rear.

so basicaly shoot the tracks

I think it'd be cool if the tanks were stronger, or had some kind of Choppum thing, or better defense systems, in a map like Karkand the tanks are such a weapon, but you can easily get molested by 95 AT missles in less than 2.2 seconds.

thanks alot for the tips, cause usually when I engage in combat via tank vs. tank I run over squad members backing up to avoid being hit by other tank. I shall try this tonight.

I KNOW! You'd think 2 tanks duking it out would be enough for someone to say, 'Mebbe I should steer clear of that....' but apparently no.

For anyone whose tried C4'ing the enemy tank,( or getting into the turret of the friendly, not sure why you would try tho):

APPROACH FROM THE SIDE.

Ive popped many an enemy tank distracted by a friendly one using C4. To-date, none of the friendlies have complained.

Yea there always has to be some knuckle head that runs up to the enemy tank trying to lay mines or c4. And then YOU ARE the one that get penalized for a team kill. I think bf2 should give out a "moron point" for people like that.

I loved waiting by a bridge in '42 with a panzerchreck waiting for the back of a sherman. Ill test the under the turret thing out in single player, see if all the shots cause the same ammount of damage.

I've heard between the turret and the body. That's the logical place anyway.
