you wont be able to get a laptop that can handle battlefield 2 for under 2k. all the good gamming laptops are over 3k and the falcon is over 4k. mine was $3100 until i used some coupons then it came to $1900. You sound like you dont have a lot of money to spend just buy a desktop you can gte a good desktop for under 1k.

My Laptop cost me $2200 its unbranded and sucks (no BF2 for me on it and its 14 montsh old). Gaming on laptops is not good, for several reasons, I did and still do it when I'm on my travels, but here is why.
1/. its the most expensive way to do it, 2/. in about a year you'll need a new one, even if you spend top dollar you will need a whole new one in 2 years, don't forget by then desktops and games will probably be 64bit so get an AMD or Intel 64Bit if you can. 3/. the screens are not as good, 4/. sound is not as good. 5/. They aren't that mobile, gaming laptops basically run out of power after a hours gaming if that. Unless you get a mobile processor. 6/. The run very hot again unless you get a mobile processor. Heat is not a good thing and if it gets to hot it will shut down on you. But they are mobile, and take up very little room. I can game while waiting for planes and trains .If you can always go for a desktop, better value and easily upgradable. If its space and you need it mobile than your gonna need to spend as much as possibly to get one that wont need throughing away in a year, and as it is get a 64bit AMD that will future proof you for longer. Expect to pay new, at least $1800 and thats for a small screen. |
