Default Questions for the Point of Existance Mod Team?

Hye guys, I got an upcoming interview with the devs over at PoE and at the insistance of the staff and my own curiousity I was wondering if there was anything specifically the community wanted me to ask in addition to what I've already put together. Just PM them to me or post em here. Thanks guys, the interview should be done in a few days so please try to get them in as soon as is possible. TIA

What about the switch to BF2, have they had a chance to check out any development tools? Do they forsee the port being difficult? Time line?

Hi , relatively new to the Forum, but not the topics. On to my question:

Given the nature of what BF2 content is going to be, and what POE content is, I have to ask: Whats the point (no pun) in modding it? POE added updated gear and situations to Vietnam era style game,... BF2 is that already,.. whats the plan?

About the switch...

I was wondering, since PoE is a modern/future military game, and BF2 is a modern military game... what are the big changes going to be to BF2? like is it just going to be more like PoE on BFV?

Default longer neutralization time or more occupying units

It is too easy to take over a flag and move on for the next one. This perpetuates gang-banging from flag to flag.

I'd like to see a slower turnover rate of the flags eg. make it harder for both sides to take a flag.

1. use more than one unit to take over a flag and not alllow aircraft to take over a flag, only allow infantry units and vehicles. This will force teams to deploy more ppl for neutralization and occupation. As it is now, a helo pilot can take over all the non-defended bases.

2. use longer neutralization time for the flags and this is independent of the number of units (at least 2 minutes). The occupation time for the flags can be the same and faster if you have more units. This allows defenders time to return and defend the flag or to setup defenses. This also makes attackers make better assault plans.

3. only one flag can be occupied at a time. if 2 flags are occupied at the same time, then one flag has to wait until the other flag is occupied to allow itself to be occupied.

I hope this prevents see-saw battles that forces both sides to reoccupy the same flag over and over again. A flag should only be taken once and countered to take it back again, if the side can. After that the flag should remain under the same control throughout the round. If a side occupies a flag for more than 10 minutes then the flag is permanent and can not be retaken. This will make both sides think more about defending flags and not just rush rush and rush.

Let's get away from stone-aged quakers and evolve into the modern war age.

Over

I think Col_Swelego has got it spot on. I'd certainly like to see future mods addressing the issue of rushing from one spot to another. With all the good intentions in the world i do tend to get caught up in this mindless drift from one un-occuppied flag to another. I wonder how long before i get bored of it and the game.

This game has so much potential and i hope that POE and other modders take up the challenge to make the game a challenge and not a frag fest. Having only just heared of POW i'll certainly check them out and what they come up with.

As a tactical counterstrike player (albeit not that good) i look forward to mission based objectives. i.e. take out/repair a bridge under heavy fire or maybe save a vip style mission. I.e. stick an unarmed player in midst of the opposing team.

Give the game something other than capture the flag to get our teath into.
