This is pure speculation...but it may have something to do with body armour.

I saw that heavy machine gun firing at that dude for ages before he went down. I remember reading that some classes (like the engy) who have crappy weapons get an increase in armour.

But I could be completely wrong

The Support class and Assault get body armour. Thats why they´re thougher to take down.

While the footage was all pretty fasted paced it did seem very arcadish to me. No crouching or going prone , instead plenty of "running and gunning".

I thought the movie looked pretty and I'm all for rag-doll physics, but it just seems like there was a whole lotta flying around going on. The guy toward the end of the movie against the brick wall flew when he got shot and it didn't even seem like he really got shot by anything big.

The Abrams tank seems pretty easy to destroy as well. That bugs me cause I'm more of a tanker than anything else. In real life, those Abrams tanks are pretty tough.

I just hope when you play that it doesn't look like a Saturday morning cartoon or something.

Hmm is the body armour in the weapons kit? Because when it isnt, you can choose assualts, then pick a dead mens sniper weapon, and be an armoured sniper. :P

About the video, it raised my expectations about BF. Hopefully for good mods.
It also seemed very arcadish to me, like ut2004 with vehicles.

Well, if you were looking at the M60 gunner shooting at the one guy running, most of those bullets didn't hit. Also, I think that the prone and crouching will be more effective for longer-range fighting. The clips we saw pretty much were upclose.

did you see the smoke comming off that guy? those are hits, that thing is way underpowered, looks like they are compensating too much for what happened with BFV with the m60

Aye, he's definitley hitting him a lot. DICE still have about 4 months (I guess) to fix this sort of thing, so here's hoping they get it right first time.

I like the body movements and concussions. It makes it look more realistic when the man actually is thrown backwards by an explosion than straight up in the air, "running" furiously. I wonder if there is a speed reduction for having extra body armor on?

The grenade launcher ownage was ridiculous. They should make it so if you hit the tracks you disable the tanks movement but it can still aim its turret. Grenades destroying a tank are just not fun with a grenade launcher.

The physics system is awefully slow and unrealistic.

The bullet based damage system does seem to look weak. I'm sure once it gets released it will be patched to (near) perfection if it isn't all fixed by the time it goes gold.

lol. I think Guru just rained on our parade. Let's kick his ass.

I think the physics system is looking great. But I did notice something: i did not see any doors.... I'm not 100%, but i hope that BF2 won't be another doorless game.
