Hey all you coders and programmers, modelers and skinners, mappers and sound artists. We are looking for you. A new Mod is under development that has promise and a very dedicated staff to this project. If you are experianced PLEASE contact us to get your spot with us. The details of the Mod are guarded in that our research is dear to us and we do not want our ideas out in the open. We are looking for anyone in the field of experiance especially those who are great. Please send an email to the_206th@yahoo.com with the heading "Mod Worker" that contains your location in the world, ingame handle, clan you may be with, EXPERIANCE, and what secion of the mod you would like to take part in. We are trying to keep it under raps, we have all been playing mods sense 1942 came out, and maybe im the only one but i always hated it when crappy mods came out that had the promise of a good mod, yet not enough time or effort was put into them to make them fun.
So we are trying to keep ours kinda under wraps so that 1. no one steals our idea or anything like that, and 2. we dont want to get anyone's hopes up for a release soon after the game is out, we are thinking of a lot of work being done to this mod to make it the best it can be. But saying that, ill say its based on the near future, its not a desert combat run off, nor a mod like any other that is out right now. We will not use many vehicles or weapons that are currently behind use, but we will use some. Also, our mod hopes to capture the feeling of an actual war. We are working on a map storyline, along with a mod storyline so that when loading and playing a map you feel like you are part of the army and know what you are fighting for. I know it sounds kinda cheesy now, however we have a very inteligent staff, with a great imagination, nothing with be farfetched, and most of the things you see in our mod will be seen in 15 - 20 years.

Thanks for that link we will look into a totally seperate site. However for now we have our www.206th.com website. We use the forums for now for mod information, modding, research, textures, everything. We are looking into getting a site, though.
Dont know if your kidding or not on the D-Day New York but im going to have to say no to that. We are trying to make this as realistic as possible (scenario wise) ... if you want some more info though, private message me

I remember you very well. If you want to join up that's cool. The mapping section will not start until the tools (probably BC2 i'd imagine) comes out. But go ahead and send us an email and a few pics of what you've done and projects you've been on. Thanks

That's exactly why we're holding our breath, Caslon... It isn't anything yet.
![]() Here's an idea. If you guys are making everything on your own and not using any of BF2's art assets then make it for the BF2 demo so anyone can play it. It may even connect to people with the full game depening on how picky content checks are (eg. it won't work if it scans the BF2 directory for filesizes). Only problem would be manually adding in BF2 patches for the mod that would update the BF2 demo so it could still connect to the full game.

Battlefield did this cool thing of announcing some specifics for the modders who want to start stuff they can. Such as Polycounts, classes, even vehicles and weapons. so we know what's happening. + the engine will be the same in most basic respects allowing experianced people to tweak thier abilities.
And uh Caslon. Don't talk trash man. Quit being a d. |

Hang on, we arnt noobs, we are guys who wanted to make a mod for bf2 and want to get started making research, moddles and sounds before it comes out so we can have a headstart for our mod.
And, im not a stat person, however when you say i cant shoot im going to defend myself: ![]() and if you dont like that stat site then heres bftracks http://www.bftracks.com/appl/bft/Player/view/3568019 we are promoting a mod that we think people would enjoy, we arnt trying to create a piece of crap noob game. We will be playing bf2 competetivly however it is always fun to have different versions of a game to keep it interesting longer.
