Default Interview with Sean Decker

I'm still not sure of it's authenticity, but for those of you who haven't read it, it offers a little more insight into some of the features of BF 2.

Yeah I know what you mean. That's why I liked DC's chopper controls because it took skill to fly well. I like a good challenge of mastering the flight controls to amaze and destroy my foes.

Exactly. When Vietnam came out, it was like the helicopter flew itself. I wish they would change that....

I don't know about you guys, but on my joystick its almost impossible to make it hover. We will see. If it turns out bad then they will patch it.

did you ever stop to think that maybe its this way because you can no longer jump out of a chopper and open your parachute? because they added a repel feature to the choppers and if no one could hover but good people then that feature would never be used, but now you can hover over a small building and the troops repel out and everyone is happy

They could still incorporate the hover feature when the repel cord is lowered, but when not in use it could still retain it's original flight controls. You wouldn't be zippin around in flight when you have a bunch of guys hangin off a rope anyway, at least I wouldn't be......well maybe once just to see how the guys look flying off the rope using the new rag-doll physics.

lol, I can see some less than good player trying to do flips while people are repelling. Kinda when you forgot you are towing something in BFV....

lol, yeah. I hope it's just not too easy to fly. There was some pride in being a really good heli pilot.

I wouldn't worry too much about hovering. Heck, with the anti air weapons in DC and even BFV, you don't last long in a helo if you aren't moving and moving fast..... It will be funny to watch the guys trying to hover and deploy troops and you know tons of people will just be laying in wait for them wth their RPG's and such LOL....

Agreed, I used to play alot of DC and I was one of the better Heli pilots around. And then came vietnam....Slaming into the ground at 5000MPH and not even taking a hint of damage that was total BS . I hope that BF2 isn't like that..... And with the hovering thing.. Well i can do that easy now w/ the joystick just more nub stuff
