The weather

i asked this before bf1942 came out and my requirements were not met so ill ask again on the new one -

Have dice managed to make a weather system that while you are in a game the weather changes (Morrowind is a good example even though it is rpg) from sunny to rainy. It would make the atmosphere so much better i think if this were to be possible!

Havnt heard anything about that.
But imagine suddenly a thunderstorm arises and all the helis are forced to land or pushed into hills or stuff

that must be fun, but it will increase the load for gamers or the servers. i think its a pretty good idea.

What about not making the helos and such land but just making the flight controls much harder. Im sure all of u could agree the majority of helos would find the land one way or another in this case.

It's a great idea, but yes, it would indeed increase the load time. I've seen nice weather systems in games before, by microsoft. Something such as flight simulator '04. But it'd be nice to see it in BF.

i don't know, but they should have that feature for BFV. I mean come on, doesn't vietnam rain?

read the loading screens in it, 'nam has a hot season and a wet season.

theres a mod for vice city that you enter where you live and its gets real time weather for your location off the web and puts it in game,

that would be so cool for a BF2 lan party.

Yeah, thats exactly what flight simulator 2004 does. You pick which airport you'd like to takeoff from. And you can choose if you want real world weather, or simulated weather. I prefer real world because it downloads it from the net and uploads it to the game. Best part is, it updates every 15 mins....

I would definately love to see something like this for BF2

Ya, fs2k2 and 4 are great because of that but getting it into a game like battlefield is gonna be hard to do. It can be done but it really depends on the dev team, the engine and such...
