Default BF2 Delayed

Quote:
EA has delayed BF 2 for a few more months and instead of aiming for a March release now looks at a release-date somewhere in EA's first fiscal 2006 quarter (April-June 2005).
from the front page, posted by Dick Justice

well i am pretty pissed by this, i could understand a delay for a couple weeks for bug fixes but this is pure EA shit, a couple months? what is that? i hope this doesnt become EAs version of HL2 delays

Well im kinda in a catch-22 emotion

a) They could be putting it off to make or a better product which is admirable
or
b) They just want to start off with a big product first quarter (most likely)

Cool, more time to play WoW. I am glad I have a good game to play to pass the time.

As long as it'll come out someday and they add more cool stuff I don't mind.

I'm confused. EA buys DICE..EA is known for pressuring game developers to get game out and patch later....DICE announces BF2 delayed 2 months.

EA maybe telling DICE to hold off on release so EA can present shareholders a good expectation on
EA's next quarterly expectations?

Just kidding..sorta.

come on, its not that bad. at least that means they are making the best out of it. i would rather have delays than a buggy game.

This is excellent news. Thye can delayit for aslong as it takes to make it polished.

Do you remeber just how crap 42 was when it came out.

I think the reason they are delaying it is purely for financial reasons. But if that means they get extra time to work on the game then i'm happy with that.

My guess would be that EA has a similar title up its sleves and dosn´t want it to interfere with the BF 2 release.

Next to that I´m quite happy about this since I won´t be playing BF 2 before August 2005 anyway...

Kook? whatever. Not used to that. You have the stars.

BF1942 to BF2 might get too jazzed, I'm not discounting that.

It's happened before.

Damn..I never played BFVN, Road to Roam yes, some Secret Weapons of WW2.

I never saw a lot of servers offering up BFVN.

I'm not doubting it had its merits.
