problems with 1.31 patch... HELP!!

Hi

i got bf1942 the other day and it works fine on my pc but when after installing the 1.31 patch it gets to the select profile screen and just freezes with no mouse or sound

ive tried downloading the patch from a different website but the same thing happens

my sys

p4 2.4
nvidia t4200 128mb vid card
512mb 333 ddr ram
40 gb hard drive
ps2 keyboard and ps2 optical mouse
windows me

any suggestions as i really want to use the patch to play online

Maybe it's the ps2 keyboard and mouse. I could be wrong.

it wont be that, ps2 is just the standard connector on the back of your p.c.

This probably won't help your problem, but I notice you have WinME. Sorry. hehe I have ME on one of my machines, and part of the maintanence of ME is repairing Internet Explorer. I do this at least once a month, usualy twice, and it fixes ALL kinds of bugs and hang-ups and troubles with ME. Here's what you do.

Go to Add/Remove Programs.....find Internet Explorer & Internet Tools. Click on Remove(it won't remove it), then another box will pop up, click on REPAIR, then follow prompts to click "Ok" or whatever and reboot.

It may read like this: Internet Explorer 6 & Internet Tools
