Patch will not install

Okay.......I download 1.31 patch and update my BF1942. When I load up the game and join a server. An error reads WRONG VERSION!! Want to update? In the main screen on the bottom left it says 1.25. I reinstall my battlefield, then install Road To Rome, which updates to 1.25. I install the patch 1.31 and still get this error. Can any one help?

Try installing the 1.31 patch before rtr.

Doesn't work...... Any other suggestions

go into custom game on the menu and activate the patch.

I have, I even tried to activate RTR 1.31. But on the bottom left it says 1.25. I try to join servers but has the WRONG VERSION error

Uninstall again.

Start -> Run -> Regedit

Delete keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942 XPack 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 1942
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 1942 The Road to Rome

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battlefield 1942

Reinstall BF, reinstall RTR, repatch 1.31

If you still get errors repeat the above and redownload the 1.31 patch from a different source.

Edit: Some of those keys might go missing after you uninstall, just delete the ones that are left.
