That's all well and fine (and a repeat of a thread from a week or two ago) but the big question isWHEN are they going to release it?

For sure, I can't believe that it's still not here yet. I think now that RTR has, most likely, stopped its peak sales the map editor will show. Yet it has taken a long long time.

Just get Madbull's newest Map editor, version 1.2. It does almost all that and does it without the wait *grin*.

Then how about 'leaking' it to the rest of us who are impatiently waiting. No wait... leaked stuff usually sucks because it wasn't finished before the leak happened.

He probably does, I've seen it myself. I wouldn't recommend using it, it's buggy and incomplete, the alpha that got out is definitely not a finished product by any means. Some of the object meshes don't show up, its incompatible with any previously made custom maps, moving around the view window is painfully slow.

The finished product will be much better I'm sure. Just jump on MADBULL'S editor!!! It's here now, it works well, and it can do almost all the same stuff as BC '42 is going to do.

I took a look at madbulls editor , But I'm running Win 98 which I saw was dosen't run Microsoft .NET Framework well, Unless theres another version I'm unaware of. Also I'm just trying to figure out which files to install first, I tried the Hieghtedito.msi one first got some funky service pack error message .... ... Scratched my head then went back to playing BF1942.

I can't wait for the friendly version one I have maps based on aireal photographs... fun, fun

I'll almost wager that when the editor comes out, it won't work on 98. I hope I'm wrong for your sake but...
