Can someone explain the FOV parameter to me?? Does it mean you can get a wider view?

In the field of view con file. Setting "1" is standard. If you change it to 1.5, it will give you more of a wide angle view ( like a fish eyed view ). You will be able to see around yourself a little better, but at the cost of everything appearing warped. Any value set between 0 and 1 ( .85 ) will give you more of a telescopic view, like being zoomed in. I would personally suggest setting it to 1.2 or 1.4 which will give you more of the ability to "see out of the corner of your eye", but be careful not to overdue it because it can screw up the appearance, ie., when you are in a tank or apc, some of the materials will not show up or be missing like the roof if you're in an apc.
