Bf1942 keeps on crashing to desktop

I have a really iritating problem with bf1942. Since installing patch 1.3, my bf1942 keeps on crashing to desktop about every 20 miniutes. When it crashes to the desktop, the bf 1942 desktop button dissapears and I have no way to automatically leap back to my current game. When it crashes, I keep on rebooting the game, and after 20 mins it crashed again. I keep on continuing, and it keeps on crashing. Does anyone know a fix to this? Is it the 1.3's problem? Or should I try to reinstall?

Also, I installed bf1942 and 1.3 patch on another computer, and it kept on crashing the same way as well.

The two computers that I tried it on are both connected through a router, so we have shared internet.

My ping in-game is 50-90 ping.

So, does anyone have a solution? Should I reinstall 1.3, or reinstall the game and patch? Or is there antother solution?

I also have major problems connecting to multiplayer games. It does not seem to load the right map and then gives me the error "corrupt data". This never happened in 1.2. I tried uninstalling and then just installing BF and 1.3, but same problem. Out of 10 tries to connect - succeed only once.

Once I played - thing were fine. Single player - no problems.

I had that same prob with my game. I uninstalled the game and then i downloaded the 1.3 patch from a different site and reinstalled the game and new patch and now it works fine. Dont know if this will work for you but it wouldnt hurt to try. good luck
