Easy switching between 1.2 and 1.3 and back, scripts include

Considering half the pub servers are 1.3, and we have to play matches on 1.2, I figured people may have a use for this.

If you have 1.2 installed:

Go into My Computer-Drive where you have bf1942-program files-ea games
Right click your Battlefield 1942 folder, and say copy
Right click anywhere in the folder not on an icon, and click paste
Rename that folder from "Copy of Battlefield 1942" to "battlefield 1942_12"

Now install the 1.3 patch.
Your game is now at 1.3

To get back to 1.2, see below, or use the scripts linked for easy switching.

If you have 1.3 installed:

Go into My Computer-Drive where you have bf1942-program files-ea games
Right click your Battlefield 1942 folder, and say copy
Right click anywhere in the folder not on an icon, and click paste
Rename that folder from "Copy of Battlefield 1942" to "battlefield 1942_13"

Now reinstall the 1.2 patch.
Your game is now at 1.2

To get back to 1.3, see above, or use the scripts linked for easy switching.

DISCLAIMER:I take no responsibility for what you do with these 2 scripts. If followed correctly, they will provide an easy method of switching between 1.2 and 1.3. If you run the wrong one, however, it will move the battlefield folder into the other version battlefield folder, so you will have no battlefield 1942 folder, and a folder like c

program files\EA Games\Battlefie 1942_v13\BAttlefield 1942.
To solve that issue, just cut/paste it out of there, back into the c

program files\ea games\ folder, and run the correct script

OK, I have written 2 little scripts to help you do this.
Here is what to do to make it so with one double click, you can switch between 1.2 and 1.3.

1. Download these 2 files, and place them on your desktop or anywhere that is convenient for you http://www.comcstrike.com/download/o...lefield_12.bat and http://www.comcstrike.com/download/o...lefield_13.bat

2. Follow the instructions above. Basically, make a copy of 1.2 and then install 1.3. BE SURE TO RENAME YOUR 1.2 FOLDER TO C

PROGRAM FILES\EA GAMES\BATTLEFIELD 1942_V12 or this handy script will not work.

3. After renaming your 1.2 folder to the above(caps not necessary), you do not have to rename another folder again to switch. Just use the scripts. Be SURE to click the correct icon hosers
