Default Jungle maps

They should realy add jungle maps in bf1942. like in china , cambodia , and india. i think it be fun for players who play infratry alot.

There are mods out there that focus on the Vietnam war.

[drools very much] That would be amazing. But the jungle should only be a part of a level...perhaps a flag...because you need planes and tanks and other vehicles...thats why BF is so great right?

Play Battle of the Bulge..... Yeah I know there are tanks but that is an infantry tactics map. Getting the artillery involved has a big impact on this map.

Battle of The Bulge is not a map for infantry, Axis has 4 or 5 tanks in the northern spawn and can sweep the map in 6 minutes. Its too easy for the Axis, not matter how tough the Allied infantry is. I played BoBulge on EA servers so much, and we never won with the allies.

yeah i hate botb, that map is so unbalanced. unless you got a badass on the artillery.

lol i once destroyed all axis tanks (5, Tiger in addition) single-handedly with a bazooka. True.

and THEN a map entirely for people who drive APCs! it could be called "Useless Island" and people could see who can get their MG guy blown away first, who can roll their APC the most times, and who can drive around the spawn screaming "HOP IN! HOP IN!" while being ignored by their team the most. it would be awesome!

Why do we need a Vietnam mod for jungle maps? The Pacific theater of WWII should have plenty of battles that could fit the bill. And you could still have vehicles if there were paths through the jungle. It would make for a very cool map if done right.

I'm thinking a really good map covering the Ardennes Forest. I nice wooded map where planes would have little purpose. Especially since the weather was so horrible during most of the battle that a plane would either not be able to fly, or wouldn't be able to see anything.

Would open the way for some good foxhole/defensive line type fighting for infantry, since tanks weren't a huge player in the battle.

Jungle/forest WWII map would rule indeed! How devastating would grenades be???
I'm sure that after the Italian expansion, the Pacific will follow.
especially since that was mostly a USA reprisal war.

yeah, with a game like 1942, there's literally tons of maps that could be incorporated. With big naval battles like those around Truk and Okinawa, the battle of the Atlantic, the Blitz over Britain... Lots of cool things.

I also wouldn't mind seeing the addition of B-24's for bomb raids from north africa into europe such as Ploesti. Although, with gameplay being a conquest/CTF sort of thing in BF1942, don't know what use it would be.

The ability to destroy bridges and buildings would have been a nice feature, but understandably more complex.

i think th only builings that should be distroyable are the repair areas
destroyed for a maximum of 45 second followed by a 15 second invunrable peroid
