Default A trick I recently discovered - Can get you 3+ kills at once

OK, on any map where the enemy has a carrier, ideally a large server with 64 players on it do this. Get a plane, fly towards the enemy carrier, coming straight at it, ideally from the front. Fly very, very low across the deck, we're talking also touching it. Fly straight down the deck, towards the people camping the plane spawn area.

Both your wings and prop will instantly kill all players on the deck instantly and not damage your plane at all. I did this several times on the EA server full with 64 players and got 3-6 kills each pass.

It's an incredbile method. Additionally fire your guns as you approach and you may get one or two more.

Tips on this technique:
* Approach the carrier from the front so you have more time to line up.
* Fly as low as you can without crashing accross the deck.
* Do this in a plane where it's landing gear retract into the plane, otherwise your wheels will touch the deck and you won't get low enough to get multi-kills.
* Fire your guns as you approach to get a few more kills.
* DO NOT drop a bomb as you'll be so low, you will damage your plane and could possibley crash.
* Pick a highly populated server with a carrier map because there will be more enemies on the carrier deck, and no planes will be on the deck which you may hit, because they are already being used.
* This method will not work on Coral sea as the planes spawn to quickly.

Anyway, I used this with great success on a couple of the pacfic maps, getting 3-6 kills on each pass. It's pretty difficult to fly that low on the deck without crashing but once you do, you'll get some great kills.

It's really cool to see your name in the 'kill list' taking out 6 guys with one pass.

Anyway have fun!!

I never got shot down once using this. Think about it. You catch all those on deck totally by surprise and the worst they can do is shoot you with thier personal weapon. You may get some damage, but it certainly won't kill you. Plus when they see you coming in so low, they usually just run to the sides of the carrier, knowing that to say there, even prone, means death.

This really works as a tactic.

I had over 60 kills doing this on a 64 players server having 20 more than anyone else. One one pass I got 7 guys without taking a single damage point.

People just don't expect this.

You have to be a pretty good pilot to do this, fly along the deck of the carrier without crashing, I was using a zero, but once you master it you won't be dissapointed.

and something else that would help would be to ust fly REALLY low to the ground before you get the carrier and then pull up to the deck, but you would ahve to be an ace to fly like that. and yes they could kill you. it they aim for you and not the plan they can just kill you and not have to worry about the plan.

Your biggest problem with this is the respawning planes. At least for Coral Sea cause they keep popping in. I've used things tactic alot bug I usually just bomb. Kills everyone in the same vicinity and AA are never a huge threat for me. I treat them like infantry with a slightly higher hit rate

if you fly really low the AA guns cant touch you. this is a good tactic for bombing to, just fly low below there range and right before the target pull up just enough that the bombs wont hurt you then drop and go back down

its a really good idea to just practice it offline untill you can get your timeing perfect so as to not piss off your team mates for crashing your plane into the carrier on each pass lol.

The thing pilots should be doing most on levels like Coral Sea is not bombing the people on board(although bombing helps anywhere on the carriers). You should practice levelling out at the level of/or below that of the AA. Learn their positions on the ships and learn to use your rudders to strafe minorly left and right and fire on their position. You can get immense kills this way working your way around the ship.

I've got it down to such an artform that I can go straight towards the front left AA on the allied carrier. Take him out, then turn right roll so i'm flying right alongside the deck very close and shoot the other AA back left of the carrier and take him out too. I've gotten lots of compliments for this... and if you do it enough they wont even bother getting in the AA if you gonna keep killing em. Thus the swarms of bombers can commence destroying the ship piece by piece.

Dogfighting and bombing are two very important things for a BF1942 pilot to learn. But up at the same level of those is the ability to be self sufficient in taking out AA to prolong your life. As a pilot in this game you cannot rely on anyone else but yourself. So learn everything you can, every tactic you can for destroying every possible vehicle type in the game.

The best thing ive found is to eject over the enemy boat, get in their bomber, and just sit there dropping bombs untill you hear the alert klaxon. If you want to play it safe, reverse a little from where the plane spawns and youll kill anyone who spawns from the other team.

Urseus, sometimes you get shot in the ass though trying that, but if you get onto like a tower or something after ejecting, and just drop detpacks and nades on infantry, its another nice effect

Wow, 13 kills on one pass, that's awesome!!! Keep it up. And again, peeps per my first post, this tactic will NOT work on the Coral Sea map. The planes simply respawn too fast.

But it really works.

I wish there was a bomber on a map with carriers. Of course youll die half way thru your first run, but how cool would that look!!!!

Another problem with this tactic is a skilled engie/scout on the deck. Coming straight in like that your perfectly lined up for a headshot. Other than that it works fairly well.

I would always worry about running into respawning planes like someone said here. But besides that it's a good tactic. Can't do this on Coral Sea though, my favorite map to play right now. If the guys you kept running over would've gotten smart, they would of grabbed some BARS and shot your ass clean They sound like noobs or something.

An update. I'm really having great success with this tactic, averaging about 4 kills on every pass. One additional tip that I've found useful.

Try and do this right when the game / map first starts as the enemy carrier deck will be clear and there will be a TON of enemy plane camping smack tards on deck.

I've dones this several times and gotten over 10+ kills at the beginning of a map. If you master this technique, I'm telling you guys, you will have the top score in the game.

This really, really works. Practice offline skimming the deck of the carrier to master this technique. You will not be dissapointed.
