Default So I guess I'm improving - Got accused of cheating last nght

I was playing on one of the Nvidia servers mainly on Market Garden and Stalingrad. This guy by the name of FOURHORSEMEN, who typed in all caps starts accusing me of cheating, specifically having an industructable tank.

So I guess this means I'm getting better! Although I tried to explain this to him nicely, my techniques, he just wouldn't listen and kept on calling me a CHEATAR! HAXOR! FUCK U DOT.COM COWBOY, EVERYONE WATCH HIM HE'S CHEATING!

And he kept up all this with his darned cap lock.

Aaahh kids...

Anyway all I did was be in a Tiger or T-34 tank (2 of the stongest in the game) be an egineer and constant repair my tank, always keep my rear away from him, and always fire at his rear.

He was inevitibly in a weaker tank, a Shermy or the german light tanks, couldn't shoot for shit, and would always attack my front.

hehe...

Anyway, I must've smoked him 20X, and he just couldn't believe I wasnt' cheating. He actually almost killed me a few times, where my tank was actaully on fire..but I'd hop out, repair it for about 5 seconds, then contiue fighting him in his weaker tank.

So the point to all my rambling is I guess, I've improved considerably, to be called a cheat.

lol once a guy was acussing this other guy of cheating cause he roxored in a plane. it isnt surprising tho.. i mean the guy owns the server so he has to get in a lot of practice. so i was like he's not cheating, see and i put a few flak rounds in his wings lol

Yeah, if playing lots of BF'42 and practicing certain things over and over (Tank fighting and piloting for me) is cheating...well I'm guilty as hell.

Again, it's kind of a complement. The thought has crossed my mind when I first got BF'42 and encountered "industructable" tanks, that they weren't playing fairly.

But I just watched, learned, and improved. If you keep at something long enough, and really try your best to improve and master it, most times you will.

I'm not the best tanker out there, no way, but I've gotten better. I can't wait until the community creates maps the feature massive tank battles!

there are already! theres that one snowy map where all there are, are tanks!

i think a cool map would be 2 bases on a gazala sized map eadh enclosed by a circular mountain with one opening and ringed with flask along the top and inside there would be like 20 tanks, jeeps, and artillery and outside there would be scattered airfield and on the top of the moutains there would be def guns too hehe. so to take out the base you'd need like 4 b17's and a tons of tanks and stalin organs and just start letting rounds fly into the place and it would be insane!

I do the same thing. Boy, being an Engineer and in a tank rules....if you do it right.

I have definitely improved my gameplay as well. But I doubt I'm that good. I just hold my own <--figure of speech DOH!

BAM....BAM...BAM.....(get out the wrench and fix, fix, fix) BAM...BAM...BAM
I love it!

3) Wrench wrench wrench

4) Return to battle for more 'BAM'ing.

Yep, we do the same thing. I'm really getting to like the Russian tanks actually. They are just as tough as the Tiger, yet have a faster rate of fire, and their fire trajectory is straighter.

Two things about the Tiger annoy me. 1) The way it rocks constantly after a shot, or when you hit the break, and two it fires in a total arc. Plus you can't have a machine gunner up top.

Anyway on all the Russian maps I grab a tank when ever I can.

The jap tanks are the worst! Barely better than an APC!

Yeah, that annoys me about the tiger too. In fact, I only take it if there isn't a panzer around. The extra armour doesn't help any if it takes so long to aim at a target. By the time the 40 ton seesaw is done doing its thing, the enemy has either already gotten a couple shots in, or they've flanked me and now have a shot at my rear...forcing me to move again and get another round of sea sickness.

any map, eith german tanks, the mk IV is the only way to go. The fire trajectory is straighter than a motherf*****. I love it. Gimme on of them against, say a sherman or wolverine, and i will own them so bad, even at close range 9/10 times. its a bit harder when there are multiple targets tho. only a bit, mind u

Keep them panzers rollin in...

One tactic that I always use when battling anther tank, Fire and Manuver. I stop for one sec just before I fire to I can get a perfect shot, fire, then move immediately.

However at close range with another tank I circle strafe always aiming for the tanks rear-end.

Perhaps this may be off topic but I recognize that a whole lot of the people in this form tells shit about CS...
If there is a lamer anywhere I't must be a counterstriker ab
nd if there is a whiner it must be a counterstriker, too.
You know what? Your are the whiners... Maybe there are a lot of bummers in CS but thats just because its so popular...
Indeed in CS there is even lesser laming than in BF... I never join servers with FF=on and you know why? Because in BF there is at least 1 TK on a server with FF = on...
Those lamers are indeed not counterstrikers but frustrated newbies who kill masses of teammates and go into a forum like this afterwards to blame the counterstrikes for they are destroying the BF-community and whatsoever......

I got accused of cheating for shooting down a 109 with my BAR in Kursk. If I'd have been that pilot I wouldn't have gone publicising that
