Hopefully i can get a quick answer on this as i have a match tonight.....
I am one of those guys that love to mod and customize my games with skins and such...however, for match play, you need a clean installation....now with CS this was a piece of cake, all you had to do was install Halflife into a seperate folder or Partition/drive....but with BF1942 it detects that it is already installed and will not let you do this..... so....does anyone have any ideas on how to install a second "untouched" installation for match play while keeping the custom installation for regular play??? |

hahaha....well...it was alot easier and simpler than i though....when you brought up the registery, i decided to go have a look at what was there....guess what....nothing references the location of the files....with that in mind i decided to try something....i copied the entire directory to one of my other partitions and renamed the Orginal dir....well, when i tried the copied dir, it worked like a champ....
all i had to do was revert the original back to normal and bingo, two installs....kinda i look back now and think, DOH!!!!....hehehe ![]() |
