What's up with the tank attacks in this game?? You have to angle the shot so that you hit the target... Why is it this way?
And why is Secret Weapons of WWII's T95 the only vehicle this doesn't apply to? Just a couple questions from someone who has been a player of BF1942 for a while now and just decided to start posting about it. |

It's the implementation of the force of gravity into the game environment. If you shot artillary in real life, or even a bow and arrow for that matter, gravity will pull the projectile down toward the ground as it passes along its trajectory. It's just the simple physics of life
All the anti-armor shells have the gravity effect so once you master one type, like a tank barrel, all the rest (artillary, bazookas, etc.) will follow. Also remember that one antitank shell to the rear of a tank will do the most damage, most times destroying it with one shot. So hit the enemy tanks in the ass and start taking names.

I understand this, but it takes away from the realism. Real tanks fire the shots with such velocity that they fly in a very gradual arc, not like these tanks at all. The tanks in this game (which I still love and play even though I don't like this feature) have even been edited so that the barrel angles much farther than they ever did in real life...
