Why would you not play in fullscreen?

More information would be helpful. What CPU/OS are you running. We assume you have made the changes recommended in the Readme file if you are using Windows XP.

do you have the 32 mg version or the 64?

I had the same problem with my mx400. I found the only fix was to slow down my video acceleration, turn off sound acceleration.

ALso use the 29.41 (I'm pretty sure) drivers, and use this tweak utility.
http://www.guru3d.com/geforcetweakutility/
set to fastest to start and play with from there.

obviously play with the lowest settings at 60 hrz.
change you default monitor setting to match what they will be in the game.
800x600 16

turn off all firewalls, antivirus, 3rd party software that doesn't need to run. Use task manager to do this if need be.

You can also go through and disable services using this site as a guide.
http://www.readyroom.org/perfgde_5.html

I also changed my mouse from usb to ps2.

thats about it, seem slike alot. well it is. you may not have to do all of them.

I also found that all mx400 cards are not the same. I had a mx400 64 meg, and I think was poorer workmanship then ths mx400 32 meg that I use now. and I have way less problems with the 32mb one.

I hope some of this helps
