I've been playing BF for a long time and I never got the point of clans....can someone fill me in for what the point of clans are and what are some of the best ones

Let me give you an example?

You are assault class, you happen to come across a tank, so on teamspeak you call in a plane which kills the tank, you continue on and take the out post. However, on the horizon you see 2 tanks, artillery and infantry. So, once again get on teamspeak and then you hear back "Fire for effect, stand by". The battle ship with two of your team mates in unleashes a full broadside eliminating all advancing enemies.

What is a clan? Its teamwork, a fine example of organic solidarity with each member playing his part to win.

1. Compeition play like at TWL or BFCL or CAL.
2. Teamwork
3. BS'ing and having fun while playing

The best ones? Are you referring to the best clans?

I'll keep this list to current clans only. And if your clan is suspected or known of hacking or glitching, you aint on my list.

Best all around clan: 56th Fighter Group or RB
Best Tanking Clan: United Soldiers Force
Best Infantry: BCE
Best Infantry: unsure

Once again, this is my opinion.

Different clans focus on different aspects. Some are all about hard-core, win-or-die competition, some are more laid back and focus more on getting together with a bunch of friends and having fun for fun's sake. (I personally prefer the later.) Either way, gaming with people you know beats the heck out of playing with anonymous people and makes the game more enjoyable through better teamwork and cooperation.

The point of clans is to really just have fun. Plus you also find out wat being on a team is kinda like. If u would happen to be intrested in joining one. Send me a PM.
