paying for help with PAYPAL!!!!

right i baught battlefield 1942 like 3 years ago, and i was playing with for a year or two, then that comp broke down and i baught a new one around 7 months ago and didnt bother instaling it as i didnt have the right graphics. So two days ago i baught the right graphics card and i instaled it and everythng was good i can play single player. i have version 1.4 so i installed the patch which makes it 1.5 then another one to make it 1.6, so then i instal 1.61 incremental and thats fine then i try 2 install 1.61 server incremental and i get the maessage 'setup couldnt find an battlefield 1942 server instilation'.
*when i try 2 connect to multiplayer it sais erroe conection to server* i think that is because it wont let me instal the server incremental patch.

if any body can help me get multiplayer working i have a cash reward thru paypal, DONT ASK HOW MUCH i will be reasonable but it wont be over the £20 mark.
thx in advance i really need the help
p.s i forget to mention i have battlefield 1942 deluxe edtition if that helps

There is no point in installing the server patch if you are not running a server.

The server patch is for people who want to host a server on thier computer or for hosting companys who provide servers.

Have you got a firewall or anything running that might be blocking the games access?

And make sure you have punkbuster enabled on the server browser menu

right i downloaded punkbuster and then i added bf 1942 then in the multi player menu in the bf game i selected punkbuster, and it said 'punk buster could not be enabled, please instal latest battlefeild patch', can sum 1 post the link please.

It sounds like there is something wrong with your installation. Uninstall it.

During the reinstall from the disks there should be an option to install punkbuster. You want to do this.

After its installed apply the 1.6 patch then the 1.61 incremental patch.

Yes, reinstall the whole game. This will clear out any messed up or duplicate files that your probably have, and it will give you a fresh install of punkbuster. Then install the 1.6 full install patch and the 1.61b patch from those links. When you are installing either the BF42 game or the 1.6 patch you will be asked if you want to install punkbuster, click yes. Then when you load up the game and you are in the server borwser, enable punkbuster by clicking the box on the bottom. This should enable you to play bf42 online. If this doesn't work then you have another problem that is probably an outdated punkbuster client that is not automaticlly updating, or some other problem associated with all EA products.

It might be a custom map or you do not have the expansion pack/mod installed that has that map.
