Dear KrazyKevin
1. Medal of Honor: http://www.forumplanet.com/PlanetMed...m.asp?fid=4444 Go there and read the complaints… the same problems people are complaining about in BF. 2. Return to Castle Wolfenstein: http://www.forumplanet.com/planetwol...m.asp?fid=4119 Same here, but then again I stated a GAME that was release in the past 6-8 month.. you can’t seem to follow simple instructions. 3. Madden NFL 2003: I see Lag issues for online playing and AI. http://easports.boards.ea.com/messag...tzM.0@.ef3d319 4. Nascar 2002 I see quite a few complaints about the game, online sucks, video card problem ect.. http://easports.boards.ea.com/messages?14@@/EA%20SPORTS/NASCAR!ticket=13c8b661f1582daf3&decode=602 Hell I could go on and on listing the forums and boards about all the games you listed since every game has “bugs” and someone will complain about it. Most of the complaints I have seen here about BF are idiots like YOU that expect the game to run at full detail level in 1024x768 32 bit Res on a GF-2 32 bit video card with 128 mb Ram and a AMD Duron 800 and still have high FPS. I have 4 dedicated gaming CPU’s ranging from a 833 PIII to a 2.8 P-4 and while the game on the low end system doesn’t look visually good I can still play online at about the same FPS as that of my high end system with all the bells and whistles turned on. But then again I play on a private server that has huge amounts of Ram and only low ping players are allowed. Now on the other hand quite a few people that have come here with problems have been helped, some of the help has been as simple as using the Low sound sampling 22Khz instead of the 44Khz sound files when using SB sound cards. And I have to back up Cpl. Reynolds claim about MOH as I had problem on two of my machines and wasn’t fixed until I either got the patch or tweaked my machine…. This game amazed me because it ran right out of the box the first day on all my machines. So if you don’t like the game fine post a single complaint about your dislikes here… return the game… better yet move to consoles since you obviously do not have the cognitive powers to maintain a personal computer… oh well there is the last option buy a Mac. -Red MEat- |

I do recall when quake3 came out, it had pretty steep hardware requirements. I think your sadly mistaken if anyone thinks quake1,2,3 has never had more than 2 patches. You obviously haven't played the game. Look at how many half-life patches there have been through its life. What 20+? Get real, all games have had patches. Some guys were just tested more thouroughly before introduced to the market. This game has more bugs than it should have been released with. I had the demo so I can't call EA. I just troubleshooted like everyone else on here. If I bought the game I would be calling EA right now. Common guys figure it out.

Holllllllllld on a minute. I've never said in any post that the games mentioned didn't have patches. I think its great that companys fix their products after they release them to make them better for us. Listen, I understand and get your point, how you opened the box and it worked. Thats great. It really is. I'm not saying that all these problems are all game related. There are some issues with people hardware etc etc. Its just very odd that this is the only game thats broke when it comes to my machine. I have many games that I listed that have more hardware requirements than this game and I can turn everything all the way up and they play fine right out of the box. I guess I'm saying if 99% of the games made today will work fine right out of the box on my machine, and this one won't, then what does common sense tell you? I shouldn't have a tweak for days, or reformat, or defrag to get it to work. I'll be the first on here to admit if I defrag or change a setting on my pc that fixes it. I'll say it was my computer. But, I shouldn't have to do anything out of the ordinary to make this game run. I have a Athlon 1900+, 512mb ram and a GF3 Ti 200. This is almost double what is required. I'm sorry for getting into the name calling and all that shit, I was out of line. And I'll be the first one here to say I was wrong if I find something on my system that is screwing with the game. But, something just isn't right here. Hopefully it is as simple as a patch, because I know nothing is wrong with my machine. My machine hasn't been formatted and cleaned up now for about 6 to 8 months now. I know someone will say, well hey, thats the problem right there. But it would be ridiculous to reformat for every game that came out. Happy gaming to all

Sup there xcorporalx;
This game has really got me steaming. My machine? The game? Who knows. If yours works fine, then you just don't know how frustrating it is when everything you own works fine then something comes up and doesn't. Hopefully a patch will fix all of this and we can all be happy. Later Kevin |

Hey Kev, Im right there wit ya, after all, im the one who posted this message, so I know exactly how frustrating it is.. I still havent gotten rid of this lag that makes my gaming unplayable. I was playing CS, DOD, and WC3 to compensate for my lost time with BF1942 but its a constant reminder of how much better of a game BF1942 is.
I wanna play you BF ![]() |

A few words.
1. This game was rushed out the door for the Christmas rush! Common practice with the game and software industry. There are problems, specially with games that are ground braking. QA will not have the time to find all the possible issues users may have. 2. There are bugs, patches will be release, it's going to take time to sort them out. A good way to get them fixed for the next patch is to call support and bitch to them about it (give them the spec's and hardware manufactures as well). They will have a database of know hardware issues and fix all or most. This again takes time. Therefore, ne1 who have issues should make sure EA knows about it. This will increase the chance that the problem will be fixed next patch release. 3. For those who have got there game to work, help the one's who are in need of assist. No all people are computer tech's and not all have the same problem. No need to bitch back and forth about it works on my machine, it should work fine on yours crap! For those who have problems, post specs and problem with as much details as possible, then pray someone can help with a solution ![]() cheers, Major Lag ![]() |

Hey Krrazy Kev..... that was pretty funny about the "degree in common sense"
Some of you blokes are unreal, dropping title's trying to impress..... pull ya heads in. The game is obviously crap (other wise you all wouldn't be in here talking about it) just like me..... oh by the way I have MCSE, CNA, CCNA a degree in this and a degree in fucken that.... does it mean anything ? Not a damn thing, it's a game (kids play games)...... I'll get the cunt to work eventually. Oh by the way, what's a high end system.... ? besides deep blue. High end today is tommorrow's pocket calculator.... My system is "high end" if there really is such a thing and the game is obviously fucked..... who/what business would produce a SW item and not test it on a variety of platforms before distributing ? Oh, Medal of Honour works fine ? made buy the same company, so was knowingly released dificiant on purpose ? In a hurry for profits I think....food for thought. If a pharmacutical company can release drugs onto the public (which covertly they can and have done before) what makes you think that a piss-ant SW manufacturer wouldn't apply the same train of thought in it's product ? Just because it's in a box doesn't mean it is any good. Just because it works fine on YOUR system doesn't mean others don't have issues with it on theirs. Oh please, keep gamers forums that..... not a place for IT geeks to justify their existance. No need to respond.... I'm not interested.... |
