PLEASE HELP ME

I just got a new comp and am reinstalling BF1942 i know ppl have already asked this but can some one help me get the right verison or tell me step by step what to do becasue i am going to freak out i d/l the 1.6 update and than got the small patch and extracted them both and it still says wrong version when i go to play. could some one please help me i love this game and want to play it very badly

um just make sure you installed 1.6 first then 1.6 to 1.61 and if that dont work idk....

Ya, go to gamers hell.com..and download the patches that the other person posted here. Then you should be good for online.
