Hi.
I have searched the forums and can't seem to find any definite insight into the warping issue... what I want to know is - is EVERYONE experiencing major lag and warping in large player servers? Or is it me? And if so, is there a way to fix it.... If not I'll sit back and wait for a patch i guess - I'm just puzzled at the sheer number of FULL 32 player servers - WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING IN THERE? THEY ARE UNPLAYABLE. The obvious answer is that the servers are running on machines that can't handle that many players - I know this game has steep server specs... but the only thing that doesn't make sense is the fact that many of these servers are full of people playing their hearts out - do they know something I don't know or are they just more tolerant of planes teleporting across the sky? Sorry for the long post I hope someone can give me some insight - and please don't say something like "you need a better video card" - this is not a framerate issue it is a lag issue. Thank you. Here is a smiley face jumping on a trampoline for some reason. ![]() |

Not all the big ones are unplayable. The EA ones I have been in have been a bit tough but there was a 64 player server form the RIT guys and it ran fine up to about 45-50 players. Then just a little lag that increased as the player increased.

If you have windowsxp, a geforece card and a soundblaster card then this is your biggest problem
drop graphics from 32bit to 16bit if needed When you start the game in the video option make sure that you have the right video mode specified, drop down the detail from high to medium. Then with the sound option take off all sounds and music (you will still hear shooting sounds ands stuff - trust me) and put the detail down to low. Now play the game again and is it any better at all, if so then you will have to play around with your video settings....... and sound...... oh also make sure your refresh rate is 60Hz is it is try higher but I have experienced lower the best Also windows xp and 2000 use a different way to convey the sound then previous versions therefore it for eg has to get through another 2 layers before it gets to where it is going there for it is not for the best optimisation. Make sure if you have a geforece you have the latest driver but if you have a soundblaster you do not install any driver at all as windowsxp does not agree with it ! ![]() |
