I hate playing in full screen mode. Especially between load times when I want to do some browsing online. There has go to be some way to slip into window mode on this game. If not it SERIOUSLY needs to be implimented.
When I think about it - there are SO many things left out of this thing that boggles my mind. |

Once you've started the game, that's it. I've tried a number of combinations and perhaps the only one that works (sporadicaly) is hitting CTL-ALT-DEL ... in XP of course.. Won't reboot yer system but bring up the task manager. Once you do that though it's nearly impossible to get back to the game.

Irregardless of the last two posts, the answer to your question would seem to be "no" You cannot play in window mode, but if you really want to, I think you can Alt-Tab out, and fool around, youd just have to keep checking back to see if the game had loaded.

Uhhh.. Zen Masta... hate to burst your bubble but you cannot ALT-TAB out of BF while it's running. Try as you might you won't get out. Only real way to get out, if you're running Win2K or XP, is to CTL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager (and that doesn't seem to always work either).

I seem to remember an interview with DICE where they made it quite clear that they were makin sure ALT TAB didnt work to keep framerates up or summat. They probably tried the same thing with CTRL + ALT + DELETE, although that can probably override the game. As for PS2, i dont think so, but i think for Xbox, but pc multiplay is still way better. The internet on that thing will be sketchy at best.

You wouldnt be able to use your computer very well. Someone posted how much resources it used, something like 90 percent.
By the time you opened a website or something, the map will have loaded.
