It ain't hard at all. Jump out of the plane as fast as it touches ground. It will stop almost instantly then. This is a good strategy for landing in tight places...use planes to get to outposts, land them, jump out and capture. Take of and get to the next outpost.

Works fine for uncaptured outposts in the beginning of the game.
