Having problems here, please help a noob.

Hey everyone,

I just installed BF1942 like three days ago. I updated it and everything and I was ready to play. I tried connecting to an online server but I got kicked every time because of some Punk Buster error. I couldn't join any server at all, so I updated Punk Buster. After I updated Punk Buster, I was still unable to join any servers.

Is there Any way I can fix this ???

Help would be very appreciated.

Did you enable Punkbuster? I don't know if it is enabled by default. If so, try manually updating Punkbuster (if you didn't do it that way last time).

Yes, I enabled it in the main menu screen once the game started and it still doesn't work. If I download the update manually, which update do I need, cuz I went to the pb website and there was a whole bunch, I'm not sure which one I need.
Please help.

Go here. Read the instructions and download the pbweb.exe file here and run it. It will update your punkbuster software to the correct version. One thing to know is that when you first run pbweb.exe, it takes a few minutes to initialize. It looks like its not working, but it is. I made the mistake of being impatient with it and kept shutting it down and retrying. Have patience and it will update.

Well like I said, I ran this update many times, and still nothing. At the end it would say "Press any key to exit" and obviously the update would be over but I still kept on getting the same error message.

I'm having similar problems.
Maby it my wirless but I disconnect REALLY often, especially if my ping is high (obviously). But I don't get lagg, as in the game doesn't starts going slowly or people start jerking around, it just freezes up for like 10 seconds or more from time to time. Some times it recovers and I continue playing but usually it disconnects

VERY VERY frustrating to go and reconnect every 15 mins, but I love my BF42...

Can anyone help?

Reinstalling doesn't help either. I reinstalled Battlefield 1942 numerous times and the PB problem still presists. I really hope they remove PB in the next patch or something. I really hate not being able to join servers. All I can join are servers that have punk buster disabled.

Btw Soyuz, ti ruski ??

I'm gonna try to get an extra router and connect it to my comp. But I still rather use wireless... :/

Dam, I hate this. I got a really nice comp and I can't take advantage of it because my internet sucks
