Default EA Servers gone?

So does anyone know if EA has pulled the rest of the BF42 servers? I've noticed the last couple of days that EA 152 Western Front and most of the other EA servers (if not all) aren't on line anymore.

Maybe they're getting ready for BF2 demo servers.

There've been rumors the last year and a half that EA was gonna pull out of the BF1942
scene. My god..maybe this is it.

Or maybe just a major reboot.

I'm hoping that they would at least keep a couple of the good old vanilla severs going. I am looking forward to seeing the BF2 demo tho.

BF2 Demo would be nice, more likely they just ended the servers. It would be nice to have a few vanilla servers available til the demo comes out.

maybe having to update your pb..its not that hard via pb website.

This BF1942 game is SUPPOSED to update the PB during joining game.

With some servers..it doesn't.

It just a matter of downloading the PB newest file off the PB site..extracting it to the PB file (BF1942..PB dir) and running the update.

Something screwie with this latest PB version. Our server took several hours to update to the latest version. I was getting kicked continually until I manually updated my client PB. All is good again. But it wasn't just our server... a lot of the servers that I have since visited have the same issue. People get kicked left and right and they have a message warning people to manually update their PB client.

Is it a conspiracey to try and make BF42 a pain in the ass to play in order to try and pump (pimp?) up sales of BF2?

i think PB is more trouble than it is worth, it causes lag and the text fills the screen so you cant see and it constantly kicks people for random reasons

Just imagine if they got rid of PB?

You don't see a lot of ppl being removed because hackers don't bother now.

I've had the same problems on some servers where pb needed to be manually updated. Probably an issue of the server (safeguards).

Really, it's kinda easy. PB folder is
right there in your BF1942 dir. Download and extract there and then run it.

A minor annoyance compared to having no pb at all.
PB reduces the number of idiots calling talented players "cheaters".

EDIT: EA Aberdeen is still up. 67.18.145.66
