Default BF42 Servers

I actually went back to playing some good old BF42 this weekend & was shocked to see that the majority of EA servers were all greyed out (Not playable) Anyone know why? I attempted to get on one but it said that I needed to update? I am running the latest BF42 patch..Did something change while I stopped playing this game? I was able to play on this other server without any problem but the EA servers kept giving me that error......Thanks for any feedback guys.

Unknown- same thing was showing up for me, but even though the servers appeared grey, I could join one just fine. Only tried one, but double click and bingo, in just fine.

One a related note- ASE wasn't working at all for me tonight... anyone else?
Figures, Yahoo gets a hold of it and it starts shitting out. This was the first time it hasn't worked for me, but... why do I have this feeling that with Yahoo involved, reliability is gonna go down the toilet.

Some EA's are down for extended periods and other EA's pop up ready for play.

The ones with noobs who make a vote every 5 minutes...they ruin gameplay.

Hope it works, Unknown!

And Cas- I've gotten as fast at hitting 8 as I have with the trigger, lol. The constant votes can get annoying... guess it's just a matter of luck, depends on the group.
I just like the friendly fire off (EA) sometimes. Takes less thought/care... which on some nights, is exactly what I'm looking for, lol.

Been playing a lot (when I can get in) on Wagoogee too lately.. that's a DAMN FUN server.

[edit]
Also- just figured out- if anyone else is having trouble with ASE- delete the "servres.dat" file. Seems to work fine after that.

again.

Ok...I tried it out & I can't get into any other server...other than the one's that are lit up....I don't get it...Anyone else having this problem?
It's like all the other servers are just greyed out except for a few....Should I uninstall BF42 & all MODS & re-install? Thanks for any feedback & or help.

I'm still using the lame ass no longer updated GameSpy 3D.
It's a piece of shit now...but no greyed out servers.

I admit I've seen greyed out with ASE. I have ASE installed, but I
put up with GameSpy 3D because it's simpler.

I'm gonna switch over to ASE eventually.

I had to un-install/re-install the game & that seemed to clear up the problem...There are still some greyed out one's but not as many as before...
