Default Problem after new hardware installation

I installed a new mobo and have reinstalled everything, now when I start BF1942 the cursor changes to the hourglass for 3 seconds then nothing. I watch the task manager and the .exe shows up for only a very short time then stops. please help!

you have a legal copy of XP? wow... thats weird :P

Did you get all the new drivers for your new mobo?
Also, in my case, the Audio Driver screwed up my graphics... It's weird. Everything keeps on going (I heard the sounds and I can shoot ingame) but the screen just turns off (or sometimes the whole game just freezes up). So try and only get the stuff you need, don't get driver you don't need. Check for viruses too.

At that my advice ends... :/
