Default Trouble installing BF Anthology

I just bought BF Anthology and when I try to install it I get the error message" Specific componet cannot be found in the media.........". I have tried installing 5 different times and I get the error at different stages of complete, once I got to 99% complete before the error. I am installing from the original and my system should be able to handle the program no problem. I have pentium 4, 1g ram, an Radeon x300 and Audigy 2 and windows xp-sp2. I also see files in the BF directoy on my hard drive. I guess some files did get loaded. Is there a way to install from there?

From the sounds of it it may be a defective disk?

Give them a once over to see if you can notice any pshyical damage. A quick wipe might not hurt either.

The other thing is, when you uninstall (if you have to again), make sure to delete the BF folder completely from your HD.

It also doesn't hurt to clean out the registry, just to be certain all references to BF are gone.

Try uninstalling it completely (get rid of registry entries). Then make an image of the disc's. THen try and install the game using the images.

Daemon tools or alcohol 120% is what youll need.
