Inadequate OS privileges?

I have been trying to play battlefield 1942 for a couple of days now and i keep getting kicked from whatever server i attempt to play on due to "inadequate OS privileges" I have no clue what this means. I am the administrator and only user of the computer. Any help would be awesome.

Windows XP sp2
Battlefield 1942 w/ desert combat v.7

Did you try re-installing or are you using an image ( crack thingy) ?

thanks for the help rich, looks like im going to have to reformat. however that may be kind of tough because the good people at tiger direct failed to send me the windows cd w/ my computer. i dont know if you tried the vx2 checker yourself but it didnt work for me, i just took me to a screen saying "This account has been suspended"...who knows what thats about. well again, thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear that; and no, I haven't had the prolem you're describing.

One thing I remember seeing in one of those forums was something about contacting Punkbuster or Punkbusted (Don't recall which), and ask them to reset something or other.

And I'd also call Tiger Direct and rip them a new you-know-what!
