Remote Admin

Can somone give us a definitive command line switch to use the remote admin.

Particularly

Where do I set the username ??? - does it have to be set on the server before I put it in the remote admin.

What port does the admin connection work on - is it 14567 or some other and should firewall be open for it.

I have read the instructions on how to use it - entered exactly as per spec but doesnt seem to connect.
