Default Tiger Tanks

For those of you who still play vanilla, have you ever noticed how the tiger tank seems dramatically unstable in comparison to the panzer/sherman and even the M10? Sure it is better than having straight panzer 4, but as I experienced against Caslon last night, sometimes on hilly maps like aberdeen it just isn't worth the improved armor.

Was this instability also present with the real-life tiger tank?

I preferr the Panzer over the Tiger. Much faster and accurate. Then again, I don't tank. I FLY!

The Tiger is a good tank to try and cap....bazooka can't kill it in one shot,
neither can planes.

It's a clumsy behemoth tho, and meant as a vehicle killer, same as the M10.
The M10 has less springy suspension springs too.

That my friend, is wrong. I have taken out a fresh tiger tank in 1 bombing many, many times. I'm sure that the other elite pilots, like myself, can vouch for me. I'm not sure if there's anything a plane can't destroy in one round. It's all about timing and percision.

Also, has any1 else gone to bomb a tank, but overshot it by like 1 foot. But then, just at the right time, the tank runs over the bomb? That's happend to me a couple of times, it's it's soooo funny to see it happen.

Yep, a tiger can be taken out with 1 bomb. Easily, just hit the ehuast and its dead.

Yeah. Did a tank ever roll over your bomb, grim? Just wondering.

THAT is the test of an elite pilot. You train for a few years on vanilla, then you graduate to Forgotten Hope.

Sure, best tank of ww2 was the t-34 (i think thats the one). Tiger had lots of armour. T-34 had clever armour. The round bouched off because of the angle of the t34, not the thickness. And they made a zillion of them.

Whats up with all this Tiger tank fanyboy-ness?

I believe that the Sherman wasn't designed to battle other tanks. It was more of an infantry support tank. They were getting their asses kicked by the Tigers and that led to the development of the Firefly. A little too late though, as by then the Shermans (and T-34s) simply overwhelmed the Germans with superior numbers.

reaper said: t-34 rocks...

actually reaper was right, t-34 was the best. i was meant to say in the western euro theater, mind that, that the tiger excelled, and i mean the tiger II(or royal tiger or king tiger whichever u r comfortable with).
and why did BF didn't include that in BF SW.
and i point out that i was describing it individually, not in numbers.(the outnumbering thing was always a trick employed by the winning side, a very medieval strategy, but still very effective)

but still remember, that was a lot of holes.

(note 2 self: i need to be careful in what i write)

Actually I am quite uncomfortable with all of those names and wish you would stop calling me "tiger"
