World at War is a BF1942 Tournament by MFOTS using the Forgotten Hope modification. If you have never played played forgotton hope previously, it a mod which vastly increases the depth of normal Battlefield 1942. Forgotten Hope has a large following in both North America and Europe and you are guaranteed to always find a server that suits you. You can find out more about Forgotten Hope at their webpage here

World at War is a tournament. Tournament play is very different from either public play and clan play. In the tournament we have two sides representing the allied and axis forces. Each one having two divisions. Over the period of 3 months these divisions fight in 24, twelve hour long battles which are organized with strategy, voice communications and command structure. The battles are a large scale at 28 per side. The maps that are used are modified maps, many of which you will not have played before. They are specially selected to each represent one of the the 35 or so territories which are fought over across the world. Each map is extensively tweaked to ensure they are not only fair but enjoyable.

Once the battle is over you will recieve promotions and awards such a medals for your acts in battle. If you show a talent for commanding you wil gain the respect of your fellow players andl rise up the ranks. You will be privileged to command your company in the battle. You will feel the tension as you cooridinate the assault and the expectation of that enemy assault.

Unlike a clan we do not care about a person skill level, everyone is welcome no matter what age and amount of gaming experience. So if you want to play BF1942 like you have never played it before visit
