This problem has happened Always plagued me with this pc ever since I built it back in June last year, even after formatting (about 20 times since I got it). Before it would let me play online some times then would restart during map changing. I must also say that I do not get any problems with ANY other games I have, or software (Video Encoding/3D Max). Any help with this would be great, i am sick of playing other games when all i want to do is play Desert Combat lol ![]()

Could be a power issue, do you have a decent PSU (not a cheap one) of about..350-400w? When you're loading a game, things like the graphics card and processor are drawing huge amounts of power. If your PSU can't handle it, it might drop out for a second (resulting in a restart).
Might also be related to heat - do you have sufficient cooling in your case / around the GPU? I have the same card, and I know it gets hella hot (burnt myself on the heatsink a few times). |

Could possibly be a memory issue. Have you been able to run an in-depth memory check?

For £40 you should get a decent enough PSU, it's if you spent £10 you might have a problem. Tests show cheap PSUs just "burst" up to the wattage they say they output, rather than remaining steadily at it like a more expensive PSU would.
As Mad Monk said, you should definitley test your memory - can't believe I overlooked that ![]() |
