Help with brightness

When I play BF1942 on my computer it turns up dark since my screen is messed up. So on all of my other games I turn up the brightness on them. But on Battlefield I can not find one of the brightness bars. So is there any way I could make the game a little eaiser to see?

From the main menu go into Options->Video and de-select Lightmaps, this should make the building interiors brighter.
